Protecting the spaces in between
Environment Sahel is a Chad-based non-profit organisation designed to work with and empower local communities to protect the ‘spaces in between’ the country’s protected parks and reserves, transforming key landscapes into community-managed conservancies.
Working closely with the Chadian government, we have identified several key landscapes that are suffering the effects of population growth, conflict over natural resources, climate change, and poaching. Solutions are developed in cooperation with communities to benefit the people, wildlife, and land.
